Breakfast is included on the majority of our trips (check the inclusions and exclusions sections to see if your trip does), and we sometimes offer dinners, lunches, or unique gastronomic experiences on our In Style trips. It really depends on the trip, and please check the inclusions. We tend to select accommodations that have an on-site restaurant or restaurants nearby. Once your trip is confirmed, you'll have your complete itinerary and hotel list available to view. You can then begin to research the towns and hotels you'll be staying in and decide on where you'd like to book meals.
We generally recommend making dinner reservations in advance, as everywhere seems to be very busy during peak months (May and September), and we'd hate for our adventurers to miss out on their preferred restaurants. You can then either call or email the establishment to book a reservation.
In smaller towns, you can usually book the same day or even just walk in, especially outside the busiest months. If there’s somewhere specific you’d like to eat, it’s worth booking a few days in advance to be safe. For busier months, we recommend booking a few days ahead or even a week/2 weeks in advance if it’s a particularly popular place.
We don't make recommendations since everyone's tastes are different, and exploring your options is part of the fun of self-guided travel! We recommend checking TripAdvisor to find the most suitable option based on your budget and preferred cuisine.
